Port Washington Fire Dept. to build $1M training center
The Port Washington Fire Department announced a partnership with the Peter & Jeri Dejana Foundation to construct a $1 million state-of-the-art firefighter and emergency medical training center. The facility, which will be built on department-owned property on Rosin West Shore Road near the Town of North Hempstead Highway Department, is expected to be completed in roughly 18 months.
Port Washington Adult Activities Center receives $50,000 grant for senior programs
The Port Washington Adult Activities Center has received a $50,000 grant from the Peter & Jeri Dejana Foundation to expand services and programs for seniors in 2026. The funding will expand the Center’s nutrition program, special events, cultural outings and recreational and educational offerings.
