The Peter & Jeri Dejana Foundation Announces Plan to Transition to New Office Building
The Peter & Jeri Dejana Foundation is excited to announce the development of a new, permanent philanthropic headquarters on Shore Road in Port Washington, New York. The permanent headquarters will fulfill a longstanding dream of our founder, Peter Dejana, who lived and worked on Cow Neck Peninsula for the majority of his life. The building site sits beside Mill Pond to the north and near Manhasset Bay to the west, beautifying the location of a dilapidated former bank in a prime neighborhood corner.
The Dejana Foundation office building will be owner-occupied and used exclusively by the Foundation to fulfill its philanthropic mission on the North Shore. The Foundation’s two-floor internal space utilization and office assignments have been carefully considered to ensure the comfort and efficiency of its employees, including kitchens (“cafes”) for lunch and semi-formal meetings, collaborative spaces, and a formal all-team boardroom.
The project, as presented, has been designed by a prominent, well-regarded local architectural firm, Mojo Stumer. The Dejana Foundation is proud of the thoughtful design that has been put forth and looks forward to the positive attention the building will garner once construction is completed.
